FAQ / Links
Do I have to live in a certain area in order for you to assist me?
No. Wild Rose Career & Employment Services (WRCES) is here to help all Albertans.
How much do you charge?
All WRCES services are government-funded, and provided to clients at no cost. All that is required is that you fill out a registration form.
Can you tell me what career is best for me?
Only you can choose your career. However, WRCES staff can assist you with the tools and resources to reach this decision.
How do you help me determine my career path?
We use a variety of inventories and techniques to help you to recognize your interests and skills, which can help you in indentifying what career directions could be best suited for you. The ultimate goal in this is not just to “get a job”, but to find where your passions lie, so that you can find a rewarding career—one where getting paid to do what you love is the “icing on the cake”!
Where can I find out more about the Post-Secondary schools in Alberta?
Calendars for most Alberta schools are available at the WRCES office. A listing of schools and links to their websites can also be found at www.advancededucation.gov.ab.ca. Internet access is available free of charge in the WRCES office.
How do I qualify for student funding?
Eligibility is different for each funding program, with financial need and credit history as two of the main criteria. Contact WRCES to find out if you might qualify.
Do you process/approve funding applications?
No, we don't. Depending on the funding type, processing and approval are completed by either Alberta Learning or Alberta Employment & Immigration. If you require contact information to inquire about your student funding status, contact us.
